Installing the app
Applies to: SimpleTwo 0.9.x · Checked: 20.09.2026
The app is called SimpleTwo Connect and it is one app on every platform: messaging, calls and the corporate network are all in it.
1. Where to get it
Open your organisation's address in a browser (the one your administrator gave you) — the front page collects the links for every platform. That page opens without signing in: the person who needs to install a client is precisely the one who cannot sign in yet.
| Platform | How it installs |
|---|---|
| iOS | a TestFlight link |
| Android | from Google Play (internal testing) or as an APK where Play is unavailable |
| macOS | a file from the same page |
| Web | nothing to install — your organisation's address opens the client in a browser |
There is no separate Windows app in 0.9.x. On Windows, use the web client.
2. First sign-in
- Open the app and enter your work email — the app finds your organisation by its domain.
- Enter your corporate password (or sign in at your identity provider, if that is how your organisation is configured).
- Allow notifications — without them there are no calls on a locked screen.
- On iOS and macOS the system will ask to allow VPN: that is what gives access to internal resources, see Connecting.
If sign-in fails while the password is right, show your administrator the error text: most often it is about which identifier the corporate identity provider actually checks.
3. Guests
An external participant needs no account: they get a QR invitation, open the app and press "Scan QR invitation" on the sign-in screen. The invitation's lifetime is set by whoever invited them, and an administrator can cap it.
4. Updates
- macOS — the app updates itself from your organisation's update feed.
- Android (APK) — take the new version from the same download page.
- iOS and Android from a store — the usual store route.
The installed version is visible in the app's settings; an administrator sees the same in the console — which is the first question when "it does not work for me, and it works for my colleague".
